CREDENTIALING SPECIALIST POSITION TYPE
Full-Time, 100% Onsite
SALARY RANGE
$50,000 - $65,000 annually
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Credentialing Specialist to join our team and manage the credentialing and onboarding process for medical, mental health, and ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) personnel. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can ensure compliance with regulatory standards and support our organization during AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) visits.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage end-to-end credentialing process for medical providers, mental health professionals, and ABA therapists Coordinate and facilitate onboarding procedures for new clinical personnel Maintain accurate and up-to-date credentialing files and documentation Verify licenses, certifications, education, and work history for all clinical staff Monitor expiration dates for licenses, certifications, and required documentation Prepare and organize documentation for AHCA visits and inspections Assist during AHCA site visits by providing necessary records and supporting compliance efforts Ensure all credentialing activities meet federal, state, and organizational standards Collaborate with HR and clinical leadership to streamline onboarding processes Track and follow up on pending credentialing applications and renewals
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in credentialing healthcare professionals (medical, mental health, and/or ABA providers) Strong knowledge of AHCA regulations and compliance requirements Experience preparing for and supporting regulatory site visits and inspections Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Proficiency in credentialing software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines Must be available to work 100% onsite
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification in healthcare credentialing (CPCS, CPMSM, or similar) Experience in behavioral health or ABA service settings Familiarity with insurance provider enrollment processes Knowledge of CAQH, NPI, and other credentialing databases
