New Century Advisors is seeking a Credit Analyst to join our investment team. You will be responsible for conducting fundamental research, evaluating credit risk, and identifying investment opportunities that drive outperformance. This role requires a blend of rigorous financial modeling and the ability to develop actionable insights into industry themes. This is an ideal role for a fixed income generalist who is inquisitive by nature, passionate about investing, and ready to incorporate modern tools—including AI—to scale research coverage and identify non-obvious market opportunities.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Research and Analysis Conduct deep fundamental analysis on investment-grade corporate issuers to evaluate creditworthiness. Identify improving sectors or issuers and make recommendations that drive portfolio outperformance. Monitor existing holdings for material developments, rating changes, or earnings surprises. Provide strategic insights during weekly meetings. Develop actionable insights into industry themes, identifying catalysts that will cause specific sectors to lead or lag the broader market. Incorporate AI tools into the credit process to scale research coverage and identify unique investment opportunities . Portfolio and Performance Oversight Analyze portfolio performance relative to benchmarks, providing granular insights into attribution, risk-adjusted returns, and tracking error. Collaborate with the investment team on portfolio strategy, construction, and risk oversight. Collaboration and Support Work closely with the investment team to refine strategy and oversight. Support marketing initiatives and client-servicing activities by providing technical credit insights as needed.QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience :
2 to 5 years of fundamental credit analysis and financial modeling experience, specifically as a fixed income generalist.Technical Skills :
Ability to evaluate critical financial metrics and identify internal/external catalysts impacting issuer creditworthiness.Education :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.Certifications :
CFA charterholder preferred. Bloomberg terminal experience Personal Characteristics •Analytical:
