The EDGE development program is a full-time, direct-position placement program for college graduates and early career professionals. The EDGE program is designed to help you build the skills that you need to be successful in your role. This program offers a variety of exciting career paths that will provide an opportunity to flourish in an inclusive environment as you learn the ins and outs of the Banking industry and build leadership and technical skills. ABOUT YOUR
ROLEEntry level position as part of OceanFirst's EDGE Program. Expectation is that employee will become a well-rounded banking professional by working in the Credit Risk Management department, and other departments critical to the operations of OceanFirst Bank. Primary and permanent position will be in the bank's Credit Risk Management Department where the employee will be trained as a Credit Risk Analyst. Assists the Chief Risk Officer, Chief Credit Risk Officer and Credit Risk Officer on risk management projects, with emphasis on data quality, data flow, and Board reporting.WHAT YOU WILL DO
LISTWith guidance and direction from the Chief Credit Risk Officer, review existing credit portfolios for trends, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Provides support to the second line of defense by identifying, assessing and mitigating potential risks associated with extending credit to individuals, businesses, or other entities. Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal policies and control frameworks to capture, measure, aggregate, manage and report credit risk. Assists Credit Risk Team with trend analysis, stress testing and research to determine appropriate measures to minimize the impact of credit risks. Supports the Chief Risk Officer, Chief Credit Risk Officer and Credit Risk Officer in Board presentations, data governance and data management. Assists with other duties as assigned by Management.WHAT WE EXPECT OF

Strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities in a multi-task environment and meet deadlines, with attention to detail. Ability to deal effectively with internal and external contacts. Effective analytical, organizational and technical skills with ability to reach logical conclusions.YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting with Business Analytics coursework preferred. Quantitative skill coursework and/or background a plus. Demonstrated work experience in an office environment; preferably in banking/financial services.INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL
