The Role As a Crew Lead Operator, you run the machine, lead the crew, and own the quality of what comes off the line. Three things have to come together to do this job well: leadership, machine know-how, and quality. The best operators bring all three. You will lead a team of 6-8 i2Mers each shift, set the pace for how the line runs, and make the calls that keep production on-spec and on-time. When something drifts, you act fast. When the crew needs direction, you give it. A general mechanical sense goes a long way in this role. You do not need to be a mechanic, but operators who understand how equipment works catch problems earlier, make better calls, and work more effectively with the maintenance team when something needs attention. This takes real skill, and it takes time. We train Crew Lead Operators ourselves through a structured technical training program of up to 6-9 months for candidates without prior experience. You do not need to walk in knowing the machine. You need leadership instincts, the work ethic to learn the trade, and the urgency to own the line. What You'll Do Lead a crew of 6-8 i2Mers to run the line safely, efficiently, and on-spec Operate production equipment with the precision the machine demands Own product quality — verify every run meets specification and act fast when it does not Monitor workflow throughout the shift and adjust resources, staffing, and pacing as needed to hit production goals Set the standard for execution on your crew through how you work, how you communicate, and how you hold the line Coordinate with the lab, maintenance, and shift leadership to keep production moving Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, company policies, and quality requirements Build the skill of the people on your crew — strong operators develop the next generation What Success Looks Like The line runs on-spec, on-time, and on-quality on your shift Your crew is engaged, accountable, and getting better Problems are caught early and handled fast Quality issues are rare, and when they happen, they are addressed before they escalate You are someone the plant counts on, and people want to work on your crew
