Job Description

Job Overview The Crew Logistics & Workforce Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the strategic deployment and management of Design Foundry's most valuable asset: its people. This role oversees the entire lifecycle of crew logistics, from high-level scheduling and travel strategy to crew relations and financial expense management. The Manager serves as the primary bridge between production needs and workforce availability, ensuring that every immersive experience is supported by a highly motivated and logistically prepared team.
Core Responsibilities Workforce Strategy:
Develop and maintain the master schedule for crew staff and a robust network of overhire/project-based contractors to ensure 100% project coverage.
Travel & Housing Management:
Direct and execute all travel logistics, including flights, hotels, and ground transportation, ensuring cost-efficiency and crew comfort for out-of-town productions.
Crew Relations & Payroll Liaison:
Act as the primary liaison for overhire staff, managing schedules, verifying hours for payroll processing, and fostering positive long-term relationships through clear communication and conflict resolution.
Financial & Budget Oversight:
Manage and audit all crew-related expenses, per diems, and reimbursements; monitor and reconcile travel and overhire budgets to ensure departmental spending aligns with organizational goals.
Operational Procurement:
Lead the ordering and inventorying of office and kitchen essentials.
Compliance & Contracting:
Support Human Resources by ensuring all Independent Contractor Agreements and Work Orders for project-based hires are fully executed and received before work begins. What You Bring to the
Table Experience:
5+ years of experience in workforce management, labor relations, or high-volume production logistics.
Technical Mastery:
Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and experience with specialized scheduling and project management software.
Leadership Aptitude:
Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to navigate sensitive team dynamics in high-pressure environments.
Financial Acumen:
Strong experience in budget tracking, expense auditing, and vendor price negotiation.
Physical and Work Requirements Environment:
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, onsite office environment within a high-volume production warehouse.
Resilience:
High level of critical thinking and the ability to pivot strategies quickly in response to shifting event timelines.
Work Schedule Standard Hours:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
Flexibility:
Availability for evening or weekend support during major event load-ins, strikes, or travel cycles is required.
On-Call Availability:
Role requires high flexibility to take calls during nights and weekends to handle immediate staffing emergencies, shift changes, or travel issues.
Communication:
Must maintain and communicate clear personal availability to ensure leadership can coordinate emergency coverage effectively.
Compensation and Benefits Salary Range:
$80,000 - $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Bonuses:
Eligibility for annual performance-based bonuses.
