Job Description

Pay is $27.93 per hour for the first 40 hours. Pay includes a $5.55 per hour health & wellness stipend. Base rate is $22.93 per hour. Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Critical Care Paramedic to join our dynamic emergency medical services team. In this vital role, you will provide advanced pre-hospital care to critically ill and injured patients, ensuring rapid assessment, stabilization, and safe transport to healthcare facilities. Your expertise in emergency medicine, airway management, and critical care transport will be essential in delivering life-saving interventions in high-pressure situations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patient outcomes while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment dedicated to excellence in emergency medical response. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses. Provide advanced airway management techniques such as intubation and ventilation support to maintain patient airway patency during transport. Administer medications via injection or infusion, following established protocols and ensuring aseptic techniques are strictly adhered to. Conduct critical care interventions including venipuncture, medication administration, and use of durable medical equipment (DME) to stabilize patients en route. Monitor and interpret vital signs continuously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary during transport to ensure optimal patient care. Operate emergency vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws; perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for patient handling and equipment setup. Collaborate with hospital staff during triage and handoff procedures at Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers to ensure seamless continuity of care. Skills Proven critical care experience with a strong background in emergency medicine and hospital settings. Extensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and emergency procedures. Skilled in airway management techniques including intubation and ventilation support. Experience with patient assessment tools such as triage protocols and vital signs monitoring. Proficiency in medication administration, venipuncture, aseptic technique, and use of DME for critical care interventions. Ability to perform detailed physical examinations and recognize signs of trauma or medical emergencies promptly. Valid EMT certification with additional credentials in critical care transport; experience working within Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable. Strong driving skills with a focus on safety during urgent transports; physically capable of heavy lifting and long shifts in demanding environments.
