Job Description

Position Summary :
The Crusher Utility Laborer is responsible for supporting daily crushing plant operations by maintaining a safe work area, assisting with equipment operation, performing cleanup, monitoring material flow, and helping ensure production goals are met efficiently and safely.
Essential Functions :
Adheres to all safety rules, wears proper PPE and works safely on all jobs Assist in the daily operation of designated crusher plant equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on the plant; Perform routine cleanup around conveyors, screens, crushers, and work areas. Remove blockages and spilled materials using proper safety procedures. Remove blockages and spilled materials using proper safety procedures. Monitor material flow and report equipment issues. Assist maintenance personnel during repairs and shutdowns. Inspect belts, guards, rollers, and surrounding areas for hazards. Follow lockout/tagout procedures when required. Operate skid steer, loader, or other support equipment if qualified. Maintain housekeeping standards in all plant areas. Communicate with operators and supervisors regarding plant conditions. Report immediately to Foreman any damage to the equipment or safety hazards or accidents. Must be able to consistently lift and/or manipulate with push/pull force +/- 50 pounds. Flexibility with regard to schedule, working early and/or extended hours, weekends, and holidays when required. While performing the duties of this position the incumbent is regularly required to stand for up to 10-12 hours (rest breaks as required by law will be provided), use hands, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, see, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks, stoop, bend, twist, kneel and crouch. Other duties as assigned. Work Conditions Incumbent must be able to tolerate moderate to loud noise level (PPE will be provided, including hearing protection as required), long hours standing, walking, and laboring outdoors in varying weather conditions - frequently in extreme heat.
