Job Description
Category Imaging - CT Job Type Contract Step into an advanced imaging environment as a CT Technologist, collaborating within a dynamic CT department featuring five scanning rooms—two by the Emergency Room and three on the clinic side. This contract position offers a wide-ranging experience performing all types of CT scans, from pediatric through adult cases, including trauma and stroke protocols. Coverage may extend to acute care, urgent care, emergency settings, and, on rare occasions, outpatient studies.
Schedule/Hours:
Rotating shifts that may include 12-hour, 10-hour, 7 on/7 off, or weekend-only schedules. Night shifts may require working independently as the sole technologist in the department. Weekend and holiday coverage rotate based on assigned shifts. No self-scheduling or block-scheduling options; department sets rotation.Qualifications:
ARRT (R) and BLS required; ARRT (CT) certification strongly preferred. Minimum of two years of CT experience, with prior work in a Level II (or higher) trauma facility. Strong IV placement skills highly valued. Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Siemens/SECTRA PACS systems. Comfort working with both Siemens and Toshiba 300+ slice scanners. First-time travelers and duos or pairs are welcome. Must disclose any prior work in this organization, with required time lapse since last employment.Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality CT imaging for a diverse patient population in a high-volume environment (90-100 studies/day). Adapt to a range of clinical scenarios, including trauma and neurologic emergencies. Start IV lines as needed. Cover acute care, urgent care, emergency, and occasional outpatient cases. Chart and document in EMR and PACS systems. Complete up to a week of department-specific orientation before independently managing assignments.Perks:
