POSITION SUMMARY
Integrates Career Related Education activities in all CTAE classes to support the school-to-career transition and work-based learning placements. Provides instructional related activities that promote an understanding of the business and work environment and helps students to develop employability skills. Actively involved in the planning, coordinating, and implementing of connecting activities between the school and the business community. This position reports to the Principal.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, implements, and manages WBL programs (e.g., internships, apprenticeships, job shadowing, cooperative education). Ensures alignment with curriculum standards and career pathways. Coordinates, administers, and monitors all WBL programs in accordance with state and District rules, regulations, and guidelines for WBL/YAP placement. Monitors student progress through site visits, journals, and employer feedback. Assess and evaluates student performance in collaboration with worksite supervisors. Provides feedback and support to help students improve. Builds and maintains partnerships with local businesses, industries, and community organizations. Acts as a liaison between students, employers, and school staff. Coordinates worksite visits and employer evaluations. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding WBL programs. Maintains accurate records (e.g., training agreements, worksite evaluations, student hours). Collects and analyzes data for program improvement and reporting. Integrates academic and technical instruction with work-based experiences. Teaches employability skills and workplace readiness. Uses project-based learning and reflection activities to reinforce learning. Stays current on labor market trends, industry standards, and educational best practices. Attends WBL trainings, conferences, District meetings, and networking events. All other duties, as assigned and required, in order to perform the above services.
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in a Technology/Career Preparatory related field required. Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience required. Makes decisions and final recommendations which routinely affect the activities of others. GaPSC Certification at Level 4 or higher in education related field. Work-Based Learning Endorsement preferred. High level of judgment: supervisor is available to review established broad objectives and approve executive-level decisions. Requires regular, frequent contact with internal personnel of influence and decision-making responsibility to discuss issues of moderate importance. Excellent interpersonal skills are required for interacting and working with various levels of individuals. Applies technology concepts to improve efficiency and effectiveness of District; must be proficient with computer. Constantly (Daily) responsible for the welfare of others. Normal office setting. May requires travel for off-site locations and school site visits. Light duty - On most occasions sitting at a desk or table; intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping. Light lifting or carrying; twenty (20) lbs. or less. The 2026-2027 salary scales are not yet available.
