Job Description

Overview Under the direction of the department manager or designee, performs interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to ensure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients. Participates in technical duties directly involved with the CT scanner including developing, initiating, training and monitoring procedures for the effective utilization of this unit as well as other portable and stationary X-ray units within the department. Responsibilities This individual will perform in the capacity of CT/Radiology Technologist. To perform all required special procedures in the radioplogy department, operating specialized equipment; as well as routine diagnostic procedures providing quality radiographic images.
Qualifications Minimum Education:
Associate of Science Degree in Radiology Technology or equivalent approved A.M.A. program. Required licenses/
Certifications:
CRT License and Fluoroscopy Permit. Valid California State Certification license in unlimited diagnostic radiology services. ARRT License required. CT certification preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Current
MAB/AB50A.
Minimum Work Experience:
One to three years of of radiologic experience, one year minimum experience in performing CT or previous acute hospital experience preferred. Experience with all age groups as neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatrics.
