Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Culinary Director to lead our culinary operations within a healthcare-focused environment. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of nutrition, dietetics, and physiology, combined with proven leadership skills and extensive experience in dietary management. As Culinary Director, you will oversee the development and implementation of nutritious, appealing menus tailored to the needs of residents or patients, ensuring compliance with health standards and fostering a positive, collaborative culinary team. Your expertise will directly contribute to enhancing quality of life through exceptional food service and innovative care plans. Duties Lead the planning, development, and execution of nutritious menus aligned with dietary guidelines and individual care requirements. Supervise culinary staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to maintain high standards of service. Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to conduct patient assessments and develop personalized care plans that incorporate dietary needs. Oversee food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and compliance with health regulations within all culinary operations. Manage budgeting, inventory control, and procurement processes to optimize resources while maintaining quality standards. Coordinate with the dietary department to facilitate tube feeding procedures, diagnostic evaluations, and specialized nutrition interventions. Implement health coaching strategies to educate residents or patients on nutrition and wellness practices. Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages innovation, continuous improvement, and exceptional service delivery. Experience Extensive background in dietary management within assisted living or healthcare settings. Proven supervising experience with a focus on managing culinary or dietary teams in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of physiology related to nutrition, digestion, and patient care considerations. Demonstrated expertise in creating care plans that incorporate specialized diets such as tube feeding or therapeutic nutrition. Familiarity with budgeting processes, inventory management, and procurement within a dietary department. Experience in health coaching or patient education related to nutrition and wellness strategies. Knowledge of dietetics principles combined with practical application in clinical or assisted living environments. Pay:
$40,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
