Job Description

Join Our Team at The Brook of Newaygo We currently have a rewarding opportunity for a Culinary Specialist at our beautiful Newaygo location, home to Good Living Kitchens . If you love preparing home-cooked meals, enjoy following recipes, and want to show your care for others through food, this could be the perfect role for you!
Available Shift:
Full Time 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM - with 1.5-hour lunch breaks Some weekends and holidays

Prepare meals for residents using current menus Plate and serve meals with care Oversee and monitor the dining room Maintain a clean and organized workspace Manage inventory and assist with purchasing and budget control
What We're Looking For:
Compassionate and dependable individuals Experience in preparing and cooking large quantities of diverse meals, with strong skills in food preparation and coordinating service for groups of varying sizes. Experience in managing food budgets, sourcing ingredients cost-effectively, and minimizing waste while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Adept at adapting recipes to meet dietary needs and ensuring efficient kitchen operations. A genuine desire to work with seniors Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfort with following recipes and communicating effectively Must be able to pass a criminal background check This description outlines the general nature of the position and is not intended to fully detail all responsibilities.
