Custodian (M-F 4:00 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.)

Overview Join our team as a Custodian and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our County Courthouse. This energetic position offers the opportunity to ensure that all spaces are spotless, well-maintained, and inviting for staff, visitors, and clients alike. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for executing a variety of cleaning and light maintenance tasks that uphold our standard of cleanliness and safety. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to a positive atmosphere and operational excellence. Duties Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to ensure pristine conditions. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain durable and attractive surfaces. Handle janitorial tasks with efficiency, including replenishing supplies and ensuring all cleaning equipment is properly maintained. Support industrial cleaning projects when needed, utilizing specialized equipment for deep cleaning of large or high-traffic areas. Maintain cleanliness in common areas, offices, hallways, kitchens, and other designated spaces while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with facilities maintenance teams to report issues or hazards promptly for swift resolution. Requirements Proven experience in custodial work or janitorial services within commercial or residential settings is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care procedures including buffing and waxing, and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, bending, and reaching comfortably. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Previous custodial experience in large facilities or industrial settings is a plus. Pay:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
