Nativity BVM High School, Pottsville Immediate Openings Position Title:

Part-Time Custodian Nativity BVM High School is accepting applications for a Part-Time Custodian to join our team.

Position Details:

Hours:

Approximately 25 hours per week (afternoon/evening schedule preferred)

Compensation:

Based on experience

Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wax floors as needed Empty trash and recycling containers Assist with setup and breakdown for school events and activities Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed Ensure building security by locking doors and securing the facility Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred Prior custodial or maintenance experience preferred Ability to work independently and efficiently Strong attention to detail and reliability Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks Commitment to supporting the mission and values of a Catholic school Additional Condition of Employment Due to the nature and mission of the Catholic Church, all employees are bound to exhibit respect for the teachings and discipline of the Church regarding matters of faith and morals, including maintaining a lifestyle that is in conformity with the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability appropriate for necessary mobility to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; repetitive movements such as stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing (ladders etc.), reaching and twisting; frequent use of tools; will safely push, pull, lift, and/or carry light to moderately heavy objects and occasionally objects over 40 pounds safely; requires a sense of touch, finger dexterity, and gripping with hands and fingers; ability to operate equipment.

Working Conditions:
