Custodian - School Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation - 3.1 Highland, CA Job Details Full-time 11 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Under the direction of the Supervisor, Tribal Custodian, the Custodian - School will work in a team environment to accomplish daily and weekly duties with the goal of maintaining the general appearance and cleanliness of the Tribal school facility. The individual selected for this role is expected to assist in championing the goals and priorities of the Tribe in a manner that reflects and upholds the Tribal Community's vision, mission, and values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.

Cleaning and Sanitizing Clean and sanitizes classrooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, gymnasiums, pavilions, parks, and other applicable work areas. Empties wastebaskets, cleans ashtrays, removes and replaces trash liners, and transports trash and waste to disposal area. Ensure all areas are clean and welcoming for customers. 2. Best Practices Cleaning Use best practices cleaning techniques to complete daily, weekly, and long-term duties, including cleaning up accidents in a timely manner. Notifies Public Works Facilities Supervisor of conditions requiring maintenance. Responsible for dusting furniture, equipment, and polishing metalwork and woodwork. Cleans windows, door panels, and sills. Maintains a high standard of cleanliness to enhance customer satisfaction. 3. Customer Interaction Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their concerns and providing information about services to ensure a positive customer experience, prioritizing customer satisfaction and service excellence. 4. Floor and Upholstery Maintenance Responsible for the cleanliness of all rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. Cleans and maintains all flooring by sweeping, mopping, waxing, shampooing, buffing, etc. Ensures all surfaces are clean and presentable for customers. 5. Event Setup and Breakdown Responsible for setting up and breakdown of special events including tables, chairs, canopies, decorations, etc. Works closely with the Education team to ensure customer needs are met and events run smoothly. 6. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. Minimum one (1) year related experience and/or training required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

(KSA) Knowledgeable in AAPA Custodial Standards Ability to read, convey and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and produce manuals. Ability to speak effectively in English before groups, customers and employees of organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, including the ability to compute ratios and percentages. Must be able to demonstrate good judgment skills in all areas within their scope of responsibility. Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. This position may require one to work and travel between various locations throughout the enterprise.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS

At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license. As a condition of employment, candidates and incumbents are required to pass pre- and post-employment screening including Live-Scan, background, drug testing, and tuberculosis (TB) testing.

No Driving Responsibilities:

Role does not require a driver's license or insurance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS - ENVIRONMENT

Primary work environment is in a variety of settings. Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences. Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Strength sufficient to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Sedentary work:

involves sitting some of the time. Can operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone. Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone. Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility. Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties. Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
