Duties Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Operate cash register efficiently to process transactions and handle cash accurately. Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to maintain an organized store layout. Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. Maintain phone etiquette while handling customer calls and inquiries. Supervise junior staff as needed, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Foster a welcoming environment for customers, ensuring their needs are met effectively. Qualifications Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred. Familiarity with cash register and cash handling procedures. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Basic math proficiency for accurate transaction processing and inventory management. Knowledge of grocery store operations is advantageous but not required. A positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
