Position Overview:

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role is the first point of contact for customers while also supporting daily office operations. Responsibilities include assisting customers with transactions, purchasing vehicles, completing scale tickets accurately, managing payments, handling title paperwork, and supporting day-to-day yard operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone Accurately complete scale tickets and process transactions Issue customer payments and maintain accurate payment records Handle cash, checks, and other forms of payment responsibly Ensure the cash drawer/till is balanced daily and discrepancies are addressed Purchase junk vehicles from customers, including verifying required documentation Check and verify VINs to ensure accuracy and compliance Process vehicle titles and related paperwork in accordance with state regulations Maintain organized records of vehicle purchases and titles Answer customer questions regarding services, pricing, and policies Maintain cleanliness in office and customer areas (light housekeeping such as sweeping, wiping surfaces, emptying trash) Assist with weighing and checking in customers in the nonferrous department during peak/busy times Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth yard operations Assist with general office duties including filing, data entry, and record keeping Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Strong communication and customer service skills Detail-oriented with the ability to handle cash, verify VINs, and complete paperwork accurately Strong computer, data entry and phone skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Friendly, professional, and reliable Prior office, administrative, or automotive-related experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments Ability to bend, reach, and perform light physical tasks when assisting in the yard

Hourly Range:

Competitive wages based on experience and qualifications

Shift:

Monday - Friday, rotating Saturdays as needed

Hours:

8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Schedule & Pay:
