Job Description

Temporary Customer Service Representative•Municipal Public Works Office (Eastern, MA) A municipal Public Works Business Division in eastern Massachusetts is seeking a dependable and customer-focused temporary assistant to support daily utility billing and cashier operations.
Schedule:
Monday-Wednesday:
8:00 AM•4:00
PM Thursday:
8:00 AM•7:00
PM Friday:
8:00 AM•12:00
PM Compensation:
$26•31 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to customer inquiries and resolve utility account issues by phone and in person Accept and process utility payments accurately Balance cash drawers daily Assist with monthly utility billing preparation and mailing operations Maintain electronic and paper filing systems Perform data entry, account adjustments, and record maintenance Compose and process correspondence and other administrative documents Handle incoming and outgoing mail as needed
Qualifications:
Previous cashiering and accurate cash-handling experience required Billing and customer service experience required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency with data entry and office procedures Ability to communicate professionally with the public Background check & CORI required This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced municipal office environment serving the community.
