This position will be responsible for assisting our customers via telephone, email, and in person at our office with their print, promotional and design projects. As a Customer Service Representative , you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers—both in-person and over the phone/email. You'll help clients with their printing and marketing needs, provide accurate quotes, manage orders from start to finish, and ensure every job meets our high standards for quality and turnaround time. This role combines strong customer service with hands-on print production support. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist walk-in customers; answer phones and respond to emails promptly and professionally Consult with customers to understand their printing and marketing project requirements (business cards, brochures, flyers, banners, direct mail, etc.) Prepare detailed job quotes, estimates, and order specifications, internally and through our central facility and vendors. Enter and track orders in progress system; coordinate with production team to ensure accurate and on-time delivery Review files for print readiness (pre-flight checks), communicate any issues to customers, suggest solutions, and edit files with bleeds as needed. Troubleshoot basic printing problems and maintain quality control throughout the production process Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and follow-ups with solution based mindset to ensure complete satisfaction Assist with production tasks (e.g., print production, bindery, wideformat, finishing, packaging, or basic setup) when needed. Handle invoicing and paperwork. Arrange for usps, ups, or courier deliveries as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front counter and workspace Build long-term relationships with repeat business clients Qualifications Understanding of print production processes, file preparation, paper stocks, finishing options, and common printing methods is highly valued Proven customer service experience in a retail, service, or fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with a friendly, professional demeanor Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable using computers; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) is a big plus Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30-50 lbs occasionally Support sales efforts by identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling print products and services Maintain organized records of customer interactions, project details, and financial transactions to ensure accuracy and accountability Previous experience in customer service or account management roles, preferably within a print shop or related industry Basic understanding of financial services related to billing, invoicing, and payment processing is a plus What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for growth in a supportive, team-oriented environment Training in our management software and printing best practices Positive workplace with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction Paid Holiday and Vacation (to be discussed) If you have a passion for printing, love helping customers bring their ideas to life, and thrive in a dynamic print shop setting, we want to hear from you!
