Job Description

Our Service Manager is to a key player in developing the service business in our region. This position provides daily leadership and oversight for a team of experienced service technicians and works with them to ensure we are providing and excellent customer experience which typically involves customer service interactions, reports, and repairs.
Essential Duties:
Strengthen customer relations by making routine visits to resolve issues, advice on service standards, sell service agreements/products, including training, as required. Responsible for maximizing retention and service revenue potential from current Quincy installed base. Achieve sales goals as defined in terms of revenue and quantity of compressors serviced by department. Plan and control the daily workload of the Service Technicians and provide technical support to the Service Technicians and customers. Interview, hire, and provide orientation/training for new employees. Oversee and improve the efficiency of daily administrative routines. Visit customers and provide advice on service standards and sell service plans, products, and training. Proactively identify, pursue, and resolve customer service issues. Support the daily operations of Service Technicians by facilitating communications with technical support, sales/marketing, and the customer. Maintain a safe working environment while enforcing safety procedures and compliance to Federal laws and regulations. Arrange safety training for Service Technicians as mandated by regulatory agencies and customers. Maintain documentation/certification records relevant to this training. Take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done and to establish and maintain communications with all people/employees considered necessary to get the job done.
Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree in Business or technical field required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. 5-7 years of directly relevant experience, preferably within the compressed air industry.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be self-directed and have excellent organizational, supervisory, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of safety practices and procedures and OSHA regulatory compliance required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel Some travel required.
