Sales Operations Manager Position Summary:
The Order Desk Supervisor plays a critical leadership role within the Customer Service and Sales Support team. This individual will oversee the daily operations of the Order Desk department while leading, coaching, and developing a team focused on delivering exceptional customer service to our customers and 16 showrooms nationwide. The ideal candidate is highly people-oriented, supportive, solutions-driven, and passionate about creating a positive team environment. This role requires someone who can balance operational excellence with strong leadership skills, including employee coaching, performance management, team development, and cross-department collaboration.
What You'll Do:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, motivate, and support the Order Desk Sales Team in a collaborative and positive manner.
- Foster a culture centered around teamwork, accountability, communication, and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular coaching conversations, performance reviews, and development discussions to support employee growth, accountability, and career progression.
- Create and implement action plans that address performance opportunities while helping team members build on their strengths and achieve professional goals.
- Support the onboarding, training, and ongoing development of new and existing team members to ensure a high level of service and operational excellence.
- Foster a collaborative team environment by encouraging open communication, teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of departmental processes and procedures.
- Partner closely with Leadership, Human Resources, Purchasing, Credit, and Warehouse teams to improve efficiencies, enhance communication, and support operational success across departments.
- Collaborate with the Sales Operations Manager to review shipping-related concerns, support resolution efforts, and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Provide exceptional customer service support while serving as a leadership resource for escalated customer concerns.
- Oversee order processing activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely communication.
- Support customers and showrooms with order inquiries, tracking, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Monitor workflow and team productivity to ensure service expectations are consistently met.
- Assist with reporting, order management, shipment tracking, and administrative functions.
- Ensure professionalism and strong communication standards are maintained across all customer interactions.

Required Skills & Experience
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a customer service, sales support, or order desk environment preferred.
- Strong customer service background with a passion for creating positive customer experiences.
- Experience supporting employee development through coaching, accountability, and performance conversations.
- Ability to conduct performance reviews, develop action plans, and support growth-focused discussions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
