We have been around for 24 years and counting! We are a 14 bed Women's detox and residential treatment facility that specializes in long term care of substance use.
Position Summary:
The House Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of Ocean Recovery Women's house while under the administrative supervision of the Program Director and Director of Operations. The House Supervisor will assist in clerical duties in the office, assisting management with specific needs for clients, Delegate daily tasks to Support Staff and reporting any concerns with clients to the appropriate person (i.e. Program Director, Case Manager, Therapist, etc.)
Qualifications:
Women's House Supervisor will have completed general education requirements and/or have completed at least some college. Must have quality writing skills and word processing skills. Works well with limited oversight, can manage various tasks as assigned (time management skills). Professionalism and the ability to work in challenging situations. Experience creating and managing staff schedule Experience managing a team providing 24 hour round-the-clock care and supervision Knowledge of medication observation process and medication audit process Knowledge of State DHCS requirements and expectations Familiarity and knowledge of 12 step recovery. Experience in the field of chemical dependency, eating disorders, and/or mental health, preferred.
Duties:
Communicate with medical staff to ensure quality of care for detox and incidental medical services. Create weekly support staff schedule Performs all clerical duties in the office, including telephone answering, supply inventory, and assembling client packets and program materials. Oversees the arrival of new intake on property Oversees the logistics of client transportation (Dr's appointments, dentists, grocery etc) Responsible for maintenance of a healthy and safe environment, including the maintenance of all facilities, vehicles, and grounds. Will report maintenance issues to the supervisor. (Director of Operations) Maintains operational finances, including client funds and tracking petty cash monies. Maintains and ensures the security of all patient and program records. Responsible for proper follow through regarding client care scheduling needs and coordinating on-site and offsite appointments as needed. Reports change in client behaviors to appropriate staff members, based on established protocols. Maintains boundaries with clients, and refers clients to clinical staff if asked questions from client(s) regarding their treatment plans. Assists administration in scheduling team and individual meetings, conferences, client appointments, new admitting clients, and outings. Must provide courteous and efficient customer service to all potential and current clients and family members, as well as referral sources. May be required to transport clients to outside meetings, using company vehicles. Assists in emergency situations as directed. Recognizes crisis situations and provides appropriate interventions based on training and experience. Available for alternate, evening and weekend schedules and shifts may be required to meet client needs, state and regulatory agency requirements and business necessity. Display working knowledge of state safety protocols, including drills and monthly equipment checks, as directed by the supervisor. Read all written communications from Program staff including e-mails, memos and postings. Comply with the company's code of conduct. Other duties as assigned.
Applicable State Requirements:
• Must meet pre-employment and maintain all applicable state and job-related guidelines for background screening, fingerprinting, drug testing, health screening (if applicable), driving record, CPR/Basic First Aid and license/credential verifications. • Must be insurable under Company auto insurance policy. If applicable, must be able to drive a passenger van.
