Join the JDM Plumbing Specialist Team JDM Plumbing Specialist is seeking an experienced, motivated, and customer-focused Service Plumbing Supervisor to lead and mentor a team of 2-5 service technicians while delivering exceptional plumbing services to our residential and commercial clients. This position is ideal for a highly skilled service plumber who enjoys teaching others, maintaining high-quality workmanship, developing technicians, and helping drive company growth through excellent customer service and technical expertise. Position Summary The Service Plumbing Supervisor will oversee daily service operations, provide field support and technical training to technicians, ensure quality workmanship, and assist in developing the next generation of plumbing professionals. This role combines hands-on plumbing expertise with leadership responsibilities and offers opportunities for advancement within the company. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of 2-5 plumbing service technicians. Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, water lines, sewer lines, and plumbing fixtures in residential and commercial properties. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve plumbing issues efficiently and professionally. Respond to plumbing emergencies and provide effective solutions. Conduct routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems. Provide accurate estimates and recommend repair or replacement options to customers. Train technicians on plumbing diagnostics, repairs, installations, safety practices, and customer service. Conduct ride-alongs, field evaluations, and hands-on coaching sessions. Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and regulations. Read and interpret blueprints, building plans, and technical drawings. Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, property managers, and other construction professionals. Maintain quality control standards and ensure customer satisfaction. Monitor technician productivity, workmanship, and performance. Keep accurate records of labor hours, work performed, materials used, and job documentation. Assist management with scheduling, inventory control, and operational planning. Maintain a safe work environment and enforce company safety policies. Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and exceptional customer service. Strong knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing systems. Thorough understanding of local and state plumbing codes. Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safe work practices. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and rough drawings. Experience working with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, copper, and related plumbing materials. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in basic mathematics and measurement conversions. Ability to mentor, train, and hold team members accountable. Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Plumber. Previous leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience preferred. Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Must possess and maintain personal plumbing hand & power tools. Ability to pass pre-employment screening and background checks, if applicable.
