Job Description
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused individual with a true passion for beer to join our management team. The ideal candidate has prior leadership and sales experience, a strong background in the adult beverage industry (2-3+ years preferred), and extensive knowledge of the Connecticut craft beer market. A basic knowledge of wine and spirits is also required with the desire to learn more. This role is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, leading staff, and supporting retail administrative functions. The Beer Manager plays a key role in building guest confidence and loyalty by maintaining consistent operating standards and delivering courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt service that creates a positive shopping experience. Salary is commensurate with knowledge and experience. Key Responsibilities Members of our management team are responsible for overall store operations, including: Coaching, training, and supporting team members to maintain high product knowledge and service standards Managing inventory, ordering, in-stock levels, price integrity, and merchandising execution Overseeing all in-store merchandising, including layouts, displays, and signage Fostering a sales-driven, fun, and energetic store culture Providing strong leadership and exceptional customer service Serving as a brand ambassador at all times Achieving financial objectives by monitoring performance, analyzing margins, and implementing corrective actions when needed Partnering with distributors on product selection, pricing, shelf space, and promotions Meeting and exceeding sales and service goals Maintaining accurate inventory records through a digital POS system Ensuring all company policies, procedures, and transaction standards are followed Enforcing carding policies and compliance standards Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional store environment Supporting the General Manager and performing other related duties as needed Qualifications Passion for beer, retail, and the beverage industry, with a strong commitment to customer service Extensive knowledge of the Connecticut craft beer market required 2+ years of experience in the adult beverage industry in a retail leadership and sales role Proven track record of driving sales, delivering outstanding customer service, solving problems, and analyzing daily sales performance Ability to inspire, coach, and develop a team Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and execution skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, POS systems Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
