Job Description
If you enjoy managing details, coordinating orders, solving problems, and keeping customers and internal teams aligned, this role offers an opportunity to grow beyond traditional customer service. As a Customer Order Coordinator at Metalcraft, you will manage the flow of customer orders from quote through production support and final delivery coordination. This role works closely with customers, sales, production, and internal departments to ensure orders are accurate, timelines are met, and customer expectations are delivered professionally. This is a fast-paced manufacturing support role requiring strong organization, communication, and follow-through skills. This position is on site in Mason City, working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. What Will You Be Doing? Process and coordinate customer orders, proofs, revisions, and related documentation throughout the production process Prepare and manage customer quotations, including detailed or higher-value requests Review order details for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with production requirements Coordinate communication between customers, sales representatives, production, and internal departments to ensure successful order execution Track customer requests, changes, and timelines while maintaining accurate records within CRM and internal systems Support larger customer accounts by managing ongoing order activity and responding to operational questions or issues Resolve order-related concerns with professionalism, urgency, and strong follow-through Coordinate special requests, samples, and supporting materials for customers and prospects Provide backup support and cross training within the Customer Experience Team Assist with departmental projects and process improvement initiatives What Skills Will You Need? Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize and manage multiple orders, timelines, and customer needs simultaneously Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work through complex situations independently Professional communication style with both customers and internal teams Ability to take ownership of tasks and follow issues through to completion Comfort working within manufacturing, production support, or order-processing environments What Experience Is Helpful? 1-3 years of experience in order processing, customer account coordination, inside sales support, administrative operations, or manufacturing support roles Experience supporting customers within manufacturing, industrial, printing, production, or business-to-business environments strongly preferred Experience using ERP, CRM, or order-management systems preferred Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Outlook and Excel Experience handling detailed documentation, scheduling coordination, or multi-step workflows preferred You can see more of what we do and who we are at www.idplate.com.
