GENERAL MANAGER
Job Description:
The applicant for this position MUST have a minimum of one (1) year of General Management experience at a dispensary and live within 30 minutes of the dispensary (Fitchburg, MA). The General Manager will have a dynamic personality and be driven and motivated to help maintain and grow one of the best dispensaries in the area. They will be responsible for creating an exceptional customer experience, leading and developing the dispensary team, driving business performance, and ensuring operational excellence throughout the dispensary. The General Manager will directly oversee all Budtenders and work closely and collaboratively with the Inventory Manager and Business Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, inventory accuracy, compliance, financial accountability, employee development, and continued business growth. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who leads by example, takes initiative, contributes ideas, and continually looks for opportunities to improve operations, strengthen team performance, increase efficiency, enhance the customer experience, and support the continued success of the business. Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee all daily dispensary operations. Directly manage, supervise, coach, support, and develop all Dispensing Agents/Budtenders. Work closely and hand-in-hand with the Inventory Manager and Business Manager to ensure operational excellence, inventory accuracy, compliance, financial accountability, and overall business success. Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and develop employees while fostering a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment. Schedule employee hours, oversee payroll, conduct performance evaluations, and provide ongoing leadership and support to staff. Ensure an exceptional customer experience by maintaining high service standards and resolving customer concerns promptly and professionally. Drive business performance by monitoring sales trends, identifying growth opportunities, and implementing strategies to increase customer retention, revenue, and market share. Continuously identify opportunities to improve operations, strengthen team performance, increase customer loyalty, and support business growth. Provide recommendations and innovative ideas regarding operational improvements, team development, customer loyalty, marketing initiatives, and business growth opportunities. Oversee register operations, cash handling procedures, financial reporting requirements, and daily operational activities. Work closely with the Inventory Manager regarding product ordering, receiving, inventory audits, reconciliations, inventory controls, and compliance requirements. Ensure compliance with all company policies, SOPs, security requirements, inventory controls, and Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission regulations. Ensure the dispensary consistently maintains exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, merchandising, and visual presentation by establishing expectations, delegating responsibilities, and holding the team accountable for maintaining a clean, organized, well-stocked, and welcoming environment. Oversee the upkeep, rotation, updating, and presentation of all displays, fixtures, signage, and customer-facing areas. Assist with promotions, events, customer appreciation initiatives, social media ideas, and text message marketing campaigns. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, community partners, local officials, and regulatory agencies. Maintain in-depth knowledge of cannabis products, industry trends, and Massachusetts cannabis regulations while providing ongoing education and support to staff.

Advanced METRC Knowledge Preferred Knowledge of Flowhub Cannabis Retail Management Experience Required Must be 21+ years of age Must live within 30 minutes of Fitchburg, MA Above-average communication, collaboration, leadership, and delegation skills Ability to motivate, inspire, and develop employees Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced retail environment Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Professional, positive, and solutions-oriented attitude Strong customer service and relationship-building skills Dynamic and positive personality Must be able to lift 30+ lbs overhead Must be able to stand for extended periods of time Must be able to pass a nationwide background check Must have strong organizational and time management skills

Hourly (40+ hours per week) $65,000-$70,000 based upon experience
