Managers should positively represent Gilbert's Hardware consistent with our company values. We are family owned and have been operating in DeWitt since 2006. Responsibilities

• Model excellent customer service.
• Oversee daily opening and/or closing of the store.
• Responsible for staff orientation, training, performance, and disciplinary reviews.
• Foster a team environment and motivate employees to provide outstanding customer service.
• Assist the store owner in maintaining inventory at appropriate levels and direct cycle counts.
• Coordinate sales promotions, marketing, merchandising (including end caps), and special events.
• Participate in the weekly deliveries and restocking.
• Learn store systems in order to be able to correct malfunctions when necessary to ensure smooth as possible recovery when something goes down.
• Monitor rental, and customer repairs to make sure they are completed in a timely manner.
• Be a role model for safety ensuring compliance with all store policies and safety standards. Qualifications
• Must have knowledge in hardware
• Outstanding customer service skills and a professional attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Committed to continually learning and pursuing training and development opportunities.
• Ability to supervise other employees and understand the fundamentals of leadership
• Strong knowledge of the products contained in the store.
• Motivated, organized, self-starter who is able to think independently and solve problems.
• Understanding of store operations and inventory control.
• Able to work a flexible schedule of 45-50 hrs per week, including three evenings per week,two weekends a month, and holidays.
