Elaine B Jewelry is looking for a Client Experience & Retail Manager based in metro Detroit, Michigan to join our team! The Retail Team plays a key role in sharing our story and building community around our company's overall goal of creating modern, handmade everyday and fine jewelry through ethical sourcing, local craftsmanship and meaningful relationships. We are looking for someone who has a passion for visual merchandising, leading sales strategies and is excited to create incredible client experiences through design, events and relationship building. You will be a key part of building a company culture based in approachable luxury and oversee a retail team based in multiple locations (Ferndale & Cincinnati). Merchandising:
Develop strategic merchandising plans for visual storytelling and customer flow to optimize our space and showcase our products.
Events:
Develop activations and in store events for all locations that excite clients and motivate our team. Collaborate with businesses and organizations to extend reach and create truly one of a kind experiences. Plan and run these events from start to finish.
Client Experience:
Bridge the gap between marketing and the in store experience. Create thoughtful, memorable in store moments through merchandising, decor, signage and marketing materials that align with our brand message and marketing initiatives.
Client Relationships:
Guide clients through every part of the Elaine B Jewelry in store process. From Forever Linked, to engagement ring consultations and spur of the moment purchases. Nurture relationships, develop flows and follow up on leads to assist clients in their lifetime relationship with our company.
Brand Consistency:
Ensure that each client is having a consistent experience. Maintain cohesion between locations and high standards for orderliness and cleanliness of stores. Manager Roles & Responsibilities
Training:
Create and maintain all training materials for the retail team. Be aware of policies, store operations and company communications. Develop training events and exercises to motivate our team to learn sales techniques and retain information.
Team Building:
Motivate our retail team by creating a positive, collaborative and educated company culture. Create incentives and encourage team building opportunities..
Staffing:
Maintain the schedule to keep the stores fully staffed and lead hiring and training for the retail team.
Payroll:
Manage payroll and time off requests.
Inventory:
Create inventory plans based on sales data and budgets. Oversee inventory distribution, merchandise movement, purchase orders, etc.
Packaging:
Oversee packaging ordering and distribution.
Fulfillment:
Support order fulfillment for in-store and online sales.
Communication & Logistics:
Have exceptional verbal and written skills. Be clear, consistent, organized and understood while working with teams and clients who may not be local.
Growth Minded:
Seek process improvements, utilize technological platforms and troubleshoot issues to keep everything moving and enhance the team's experience.
Organization:
Keep projects, platforms and spaces organized and up to date.
- Customer service: Oversee all customer service related issues.
Sales Goals:
Create benchmarks for profitability and growth. Develop strategies for the retail team to help them reach sales commission levels and support our clients through their journey.
KPIs:
Develop dashboards to track and report on KPIs and key metrics to determine success.
Computer & Technology:
You will be proficient with Mac iOS,, email management and our software such as Shopify, Shopify POS, Monday.com, Google Suite, CRMs and Canva. Quick Facts

Full-Time - Must work 2-3 Saturdays per month
Compensation:
Starting at $58k per year base
Bonuses:
Sales commission, quarterly bonuses, personal referrals & employee discounts, etc.

- Knowledge of jewelry and desire to learn.
- 3+ years of sales experience.
- 2+ years of management experience.
- Ability to manage a team of 6+ people in person and remotely.
- Ability to use our platforms, Shopify, POS, Mondays, Google Suite, Canva.
- Ability to manage projects with accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Self motivated, hard working and able to work with a team.
