Position Summary:
The Order Support Specialist is focused on delivering high-quality customer service to both delivery partners and end customers. The position requires a general understanding of business operations and fulfillment processes to effectively process orders and requests. The role involves analyzing customer information to identify and recommend appropriate solutions, with occasional responsibility for implementing those solutions. Candidates will manage exceptions and escalated issues, ensuring timely resolution and a positive customer experience. Support is provided to both internal and external stakeholders, requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provide front-line customer service by answering calls and responding to homeowner and delivery partner inquiries
  • Accurately process and manage customer orders and service requests from intake through completion
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, copying, mailing, and document preparation
  • Maintain and update customer records in internal systems to ensure accuracy and timely information
  • Prepare and distribute customer communications, sales packets, and fulfillment documentation
  • Coordinate with delivery partners and internal teams to resolve order issues and ensure on-time fulfillment
  • Communicate project updates and high-priority job statuses to internal teams; escalate issues as needed
  • Collaborate with Production, Design Consultants, Finance, and Customer Service teams to meet order and service goals
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs); analyze data and contribute to process improvements
  • Act as a change agent by identifying inefficiencies and helping implement solutions with management approval
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support team and business objectives
REQUIREMENTS
To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty independently and effectively. The position requires strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate across departments. Candidates must be highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience
  • Proficiency with basic word processing and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Strong general computer skills, including data entry and navigating customer management systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
