CMI provides world-class metal and specialty cutting solutions to a diverse customer base. We currently have an opening for a Service Coordinator to join our team. Summary The Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating field service activities, scheduling technicians, supporting customers, and ensuring timely completion of service requests. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers, field service technicians, parts departments, and internal teams to deliver exceptional service and maintain customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Schedule and dispatch field service technicians for machine installations, repairs, maintenance, and emergency service calls. Coordinate service requests and communicate scheduling information to customers. Track technician availability, travel schedules, and work assignments. Create and maintain service work orders in the company's ERP or service management system. Monitor service progress and ensure timely completion of customer requests. Coordinate parts availability and shipment for service jobs. Process service-related documentation, including service reports, invoices, and warranty claims. Maintain accurate customer records and service histories. Communicate with customers regarding service status, estimated completion times, and follow-up actions. Support technicians with administrative needs, travel arrangements, and service documentation. Collaborate with Sales, Parts, Technical Support, and Operations teams to resolve customer issues. Assist with service contract administration and preventive maintenance scheduling. Ensure compliance with company policies and customer service standards. Provide customers with accurate information and quotes including Service rates. Train and lead efforts to develop Service Technicians. Support department goals and budget in alignment with the financial and operational objectives. Qualifications Associate degree in Business Administration, Customer Service, Operations, or a related field preferred. 2-5 years of experience in service coordination, dispatching, customer service, or industrial equipment support. Experience in manufacturing, machinery, industrial equipment, or technical service environments preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams), Navision is a plus. Experience with ERP, CRM, or service management software is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Must be self-motivated, goal orientated with the ability to prioritize activities.
