Company Overview SEMO Milling is a leading manufacturer of high-quality food and animal nutrition ingredients that are derived from corn. Established in 2007 and headquartered in Scott City, Missouri, we operate a dry corn mill that produces a range of products serving the Food & Beverage, Pet, and Animal Nutrition sectors. I. Position Purpose The Customer Service Manager is responsible for managing our finished products customers' order fulfillment process. They will receive and confirm the purchase orders, enter the information in for production planning, oversee the outbound shipment including the arrangement of freight, and issue sales confirmations. They will manage the complete relationship for our inside sales customer accounts. The Customer Service Manager will put together pricing estimates for all customers, as requested, and place our corn futures positions to cover future orders. They are responsible for finished product customer contract management. II. Position Responsibilities and Duties Receive purchase orders, confirm pricing, enter into Contract Record, and provide Sales Contract Confirmation to customers. Oversee the arrangement of freight and provide delivery confirmation to customers. Pass order information to production planning and work closely with them to fulfill the customer's order on time. Responsible for the recordkeeping for all Sales Contracts. Manage the company's inside sales book of business. Generate pricing estimates for customers as requested. Cover corn futures positions once Sales Contracts are confirmed and manage the hedging position within allowable limits for sales versus futures noted on the DPR. Track finished product sales and cover futures for all transactions. Assist in developing sales forecasts and budgets. Interact with new customers to supply indicative pricing, sample arrangement, and spec sheets. Work with new customers to set up credit terms, new customer worksheets, etc. Regularly review and work with Sales Directors / Managers, Grain Procurement, and Operations to update commercial information in the pricing worksheet. Coordinate with Plant team to address customer concerns regarding quality and pricing concerns. Assure customers are within credit terms and follow up as necessary. Provide backup support for the Supply Chain Coordinator on Government bids as necessary. III. Experience / Education
/ Competencies Necessary for Success:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related area is preferred. Minimum of five (5) years in customer service, product management, sales, and / or supply chain within food, animal nutrition, or agricultural industries is preferred. Experience with agricultural commodity-based ingredients and understanding of hedging is preferred. Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence others. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and high level of professionalism. Experience with building and tracking to budgets. Proficiency with sales and production planning processes. Team player that works collaboratively with both customers and internal stakeholders. Familiarity using a CRM database system preferred. The ability to engage and build relationships across multiple departments within an organization and at all levels. Experience with invoicing, sales contracts, order entry, handling of customer complaints and inquiries. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Previous ERP experience preferred. IV. Physical and Mental Requirements This position is in an office environment, but requires physical and mental alertness, attentiveness, and stamina for the length of an entire 8+ hour work shift each day. Occasional light lifting, frequent changing from a seated to standing position and occasional stair climbing are all physical demands of this position. Travel to customer locations will be required as needed. The position will require some physical activity outside of an office environment as needed. NOTICE:
