Job Description

Assistant Service Manager Bob King Automotive is a customer-focused automotive dealership committed to delivering outstanding service and value. We are looking for a driven and experienced Assistant Service Manager to join our team and help lead daily service operations with excellence.
Job Summary:
As the Assistant Service Manager, you will support the Service Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service department. Your primary focus will be on enhancing customer satisfaction, ensuring high-quality service delivery, managing workflow efficiently, and coaching the service team to meet performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing daily service operations and ensuring a smooth, efficient workflow. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing concerns, resolving complaints, and ensuring timely vehicle delivery. Supervise and support Service Advisors and Technicians, promoting accountability and teamwork. Teaching and training them to succeed daily, following all Bob King Auto required processes. Help develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department. Review repair orders for accuracy and compliance with warranty and company standards. Coordinate with Parts and Sales departments to support overall dealership goals. Participate in hiring, training, and evaluating service staff as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
Previous automotive service experience required (3+ years preferred). Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a dealership or auto repair facility. Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes. Excellent communication, interpersonal, training and conflict-resolution skills. Proficient with DMS and service scheduling systems (e.g., CDK, Xtime, Reynolds & Reynolds). Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
