Job Description

Our client is a well-established law firm focused on estate planning, elder law, and fiduciary litigation. The firm's work requires warmth, clarity, responsiveness, and exceptional attention to detail. We are seeking a Director of Client Success & Operations to lead the client journey from initial intake through engagement, onboarding, and workflow coordination, while also supervising the support team and helping maintain operational excellence across the practice. This role is ideal for a strong people manager who is highly organized, excellent with clients, and able to oversee both the human and logistical sides of a growing legal practice. Position Overview The Director of Client Success & Operations will supervise client service and administrative staff, manage workflow across multiple offices, and monitor leads and open matters in the pipeline to help ensure both an exceptional client experience and the smooth operation of the firm. This person will serve as a bridge between the attorneys, the client services team, and administrative operations. The right candidate will be personable, knowledgeable, composed under pressure, and excellent at balancing team leadership, operational excellence, workflow management, and client communication. Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is exceptionally good with people and equally strong with process. This person should be able to build rapport with clients, coach and mentor staff, maintain high standards, and keep many moving parts organized at once. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in client success, intake management, legal administration, operations, or law firm management Strong interpersonal and client communication skills Proven ability to manage, train, and motivate administrative or support staff Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail Ability to oversee workflow across multiple practice areas and office locations Experience handling escalated client communications with professionalism Strong follow-through and ability to maintain accountability across a team Comfort working with billing, engagement processes, scheduling, and CRM or other legal tech tools Preferred Qualifications Prior law firm experience strongly preferred Experience in a high-touch practice area where client service and follow-up are especially important Background in intake, retention, onboarding, or client relations Experience improving processes and implementing workflow discipline What This Role Owns Client experience from intake through the conclusion of representation Follow-up and onboarding Team accountability and support-staff training Workflow management and process improvement Why This Role Matters This position is central to the continued growth of the firm.
