Job Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as an Assistant Service Manager, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth service operations. Responsibilities Assist the Service Manager in coordinating daily operations within the service department to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction Supervise and support service technicians, mechanics, and other team members to deliver top-quality automotive repairs and maintenance Engage with customers to understand their needs, provide expert advice on vehicle repairs, and promote additional services through upselling techniques Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repair estimates, and service writing to ensure accurate communication of work required and costs involved Manage appointment scheduling, parts ordering, and workflow prioritization to optimize productivity Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment Handle cash transactions, invoicing, and billing processes accurately while maintaining excellent customer relations Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto service management is highly preferred Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, tires, oil changes, alignments, shocks & struts, air brake systems, diesel engine repair, auto body repair, and related services Hands-on experience as a service technician or mechanic with a solid understanding of automotive repair procedures Demonstrated ability in auto estimating and service writing to accurately assess repairs and communicate with customers effectively Excellent customer service skills combined with sales experience in automobile sales or upselling services Familiarity with automotive repair tools and equipment including diagnostic scanners and estimating software Ability to handle cash transactions confidently while maintaining professionalism at all times This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team while delivering outstanding automotive care.
