Job Description

Position Overview The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of service and parts operations within the branch. This includes managing service workflow, technician productivity, parts logistics, financial performance, and customer satisfaction. This role plays a critical leadership role in aligning daily operations with company goals, developing employees, and fostering a high-performance, team-oriented culture. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & Strategic Oversight Lead and support a cross-functional team of Service Technicians, Service Writers, and Parts Specialists. Define and promote company core values, vision, and mission. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Drive the implementation of best practices across service and parts operations. Service Department Management Manage service work orders in the EBS-Dispatch system with accurate segmentation and job coding. Oversee scheduling, dispatching, and workflow to ensure timely service delivery. Monitor technician efficiency, productivity, and job quality to minimize rework and unrecovered time. Provide technical guidance and support to resolve machine issues and approve repair estimates. Act as the first point of escalation for customer service concerns or disputes. Promote upselling of recommended maintenance and service opportunities. Financial & Operational Performance Collaborate with leadership to develop and manage budgets, track KPIs, and drive profitability. Review receivables monthly and establish action plans to ensure collections and financial stability. Align branch operations with overall lifecycle strategies and company growth targets. Employee Development & Team Building Oversee onboarding and training for new service and parts employees. Track technician training progress and ensure compliance with ongoing education requirements. Provide regular feedback, mentorship, and development plans to support employee growth. Lead with a "Be Humble, Stay Hungry, Always Hustle" mindset to inspire a positive team culture. Customer Service & Collaboration Ensure effective communication between service, parts, sales, and customers. Collaborate with Sales to support equipment transfers, inspections, and customer support needs. Build long-term customer relationships by delivering consistent, high-quality service and follow-through. Safety & Compliance Enforce company safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Promote a proactive safety culture in service bays, parts departments, and throughout the facility. Other Duties Participate in company-sponsored training and leadership development. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Lifecycle Manager. Physical Requirements Frequent walking and movement throughout service and parts departments. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional lifting of up to 70 pounds; regular bending, reaching, and kneeling required.
