Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Settlement Coordinator will review workers' compensation claims that will financially benefit the client to settle. Provide a detailed recommendation of the settlement range to the client for authorization. Communication with the client on the projected cost benefit analysis is also required. Once authorization is received, negotiate with the claimant/attorney and submit signed agreement to BWC for approval.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Review claims in which settlement could be financially beneficial Generate premium rate projections and provide recommendation to client Communicate with all parties on the claim Customer Service File and track the completed agreement with the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation Maintaining system notes and diaries Assistance with client retention and enrollment process
Qualifications:
Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality Detail oriented Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) Strong mathematical skills Ability to type 40 WPM Proficient with 10 key Excellent customer service and telephone skills Organized, attention to detail, flexibility and strong ability to multi-task Ability to work in a fast paced environment individually or as a team Effectively work with others to build consensus and rapport Education and Experience Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a High School education or equivalent experience. Physical Demands Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time Ability to lift and move 25 lbs.
