Overview Leader - Doggy Daycare & Pet Care OperationsCentral Bark - Broadview Heights, OhioPosition Overview We are looking for a driven, hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations at a fast-paced, established doggy daycare and pet care facility. This role is responsible for team leadership, customer experience, operational excellence, business growth, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and care for both dogs and people. This is not a sit-behind-a-desk management role. The ideal candidate leads from the front, builds strong teams, solves problems quickly, creates accountability, and helps grow the business year after year. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and wants the opportunity to grow alongside the business. ResponsibilitiesOperations & Facility Management Oversee all daily daycare, boarding, grooming, and customer service operations Ensure safe dog handling procedures and group play standards are consistently followed Maintain a clean, organized, and professional facility environment Monitor staffing levels and operational flow throughout the day Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety protocols, and cleanliness standards Team Leadership Hire, train, coach, and develop staff members Build a positive, accountable, team-oriented culture Conduct performance reviews and ongoing coaching Create schedules that balance labor efficiency with operational needs Hold team members accountable to expectations and standards Lead by example through professionalism, reliability, and work ethic Customer Experience Deliver exceptional customer service to pet parents Build long-term relationships with clients and their dogs Handle customer concerns professionally and effectively Maintain high retention and customer satisfaction levels Help create a welcoming, upbeat environment for both customers and staff Business Growth Support local marketing and community engagement initiatives Help grow daycare, boarding, and grooming revenue Monitor KPIs including labor, revenue, occupancy, retention, and staffing efficiency Identify operational improvements and growth opportunities Support recruiting efforts and team expansion initiatives Administrative Responsibilities Manage scheduling and labor planning Oversee inventory and supply ordering Ensure accurate reporting and record keeping Assist ownership with operational planning and business development Maintain strong communication across departments QualificationsRequired Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to multitask and solve problems under pressure Comfortable managing people and holding teams accountable Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed Passion for dogs and animal care Physically able to stand, walk, clean, lift, and work in an active environment Preferred Experience in pet care, dog daycare, boarding, grooming, hospitality, retail, or service industries Experience managing teams of 10+ employees Customer service and operations management background Experience with hiring, scheduling, and training staff Business growth or sales-oriented mindset What We Offer Opportunity for long-term growth and advancement Leadership role within an established and growing business Positive and energetic work environment Competitive compensation based on experience Health and dental packages Employee discounts on services The opportunity to make a real impact on the business and team Ideal Candidate Traits Takes ownership without needing constant oversight Strong work ethic and dependable leadership Calm under pressure Positive but direct communicator High standards for cleanliness, safety, and professionalism Motivated to improve systems, people, and performance Genuinely enjoys working with both dogs and people
