EXPERIENCE
MODKnot Springs is Portland's wellness social club centered around wellness and good times. Our mission is to create an oasis that empowers individual wellness through real community. We are cool with breaking the rules of the traditional spa and fitness experience to curate a harmonious symbiosis of hospitality and health while fostering our brand pillars of belonging, growth, joy, wholeness, intention, and presence. We are driven by the idea that "the only way a company can grow, stay true to its soul, and remain consistently successful is to attract, hire, and keep great people."As the Experience MOD, your main objective is to assist the Experience team under the guidance of your Experience Manager, supervising assigned areas of Knot Springs. You will ensure that your station is operating according to schedule, prioritizing guest satisfaction and troubleshooting issues for your SA reports. You will assist with onboarding and training new teammates. You demonstrate integrity and leadership on your path to greater responsibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB DUTIES
Organize tasks as defined by the Experience MOD Task Management list provided by Experience Manager. Ensure the timely opening and closing of our facilities as one of the MOD key holders.

Lead with compassionate leadership, strong coaching, ongoing mentoring, delegation, and team building. Connect and create professional relationships with members and teammates.

Assist the Experience Manager in identifying and supporting individualized training needs for the Experience staff.

Attend and participate in monthly staff meetings and pool cleaningsBring efficiency and positivity to the Experience team by leading by example in big and small tasks.

Demonstrate and balance the high-level needs of hospitality and administrative duties.

Be willing and able to engage in special projects, emergency coverage, and events.

Be willing to have a flexible schedule based on the needs of your department and the facility.

Be the primary MOD for your department on the floor, supporting the admin needs of the Experience Manager.

Execute daily check-ins and performance management under the direction and guidance of the Experience Manager. Enact exceptional customer service standards, KPOs, and PM for your departments through the KS brand identity lens, and guided by the Experience Manager.

Uphold our Inward Hospitality initiative and protocols by being an active and visible MOD by supporting not only the Experience Team, but other teams at Knot Springs as needed.

Execute vibe sweeps and visual standards for the Springs and other areas within the facility as directed by the Experience Manager.

Support inventory needs as directed by your Experience Manager.

Essential functions of this role are to be a backup for other Experience MODs and the Experience Manager, when necessary. Thus, this position requires flexibility with minimal changes to scheduling, which at times will include OT hours.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to hold yourself accountable and have a superb grasp of timing.

Must be adaptive and display calm amid uncertainty.1-2 years of management experience. Must be excited about Knot Springs and what we offer.

Must be a source of inspiration for teammates and help guide their career development.

Must have strong interpersonal skills, high integrity, and be able to easily humanize others.

Must have clear and direct communication skills.

Ability to master Mindbody, G Suite, Slack, and any other applications used by Knot Springs. Must be confident in giving/receiving feedback, and tactful in time and place. Must be firmly rooted in the Portland area and adjust travel plans to off-peak seasons.

Must be able to hold others accountable through clear communication and constructive feedback. Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.

Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.

Ability to work in wet, humid, hot, and cold environments.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
