Winery Host (Customer Service Experience Preferred)

Rhinory is seeking a warm, dynamic, and customer-centric Part-Time Host to be the welcoming face of our hospitality. In this essential role at our welcome desk, you will be the first point of contact, helping to manage the daily flow of our tasting room and ensuring every visitor feels valued, informed, and delighted from the moment they arrive. This is a hands-on position perfect for someone with a natural passion for hospitality and a commitment to creating lasting memories for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

First Impressions:

Serve at the welcome desk to deliver a warm, professional, and inviting first impression to all arriving guests.

Guest Flow:

Assist in orchestrating the guest journey by managing daily reservations, coordinating seating, and maintaining the overall flow of the tasting room.

Information Sharing:

Proactively anticipate guest needs and provide welcoming, accurate information about Rhinory's wines, tasting experiences, and our rhino conservation efforts.

Guest Inquiries:

Handle in-person and phone inquiries with professionalism and empathy, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Operational Support:

Support daily tasting room operations, including basic welcome desk opening/closing procedures and POS/reservation system updates.

Team Collaboration:

Work seamlessly with the tasting room staff and leadership team to ensure a cohesive and consistent guest experience.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a customer service, host, or hospitality role (experience in the wine or luxury service industry is a plus). Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building rapport and creating positive interactions quickly. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks, manage a waitlist, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., Commerce7), POS systems, or a quick willingness to learn. A passion for hospitality and a genuine appreciation for Rhinory's unique mission.
