This includes providing complete, accurate and timely responses to inquiries and orders received via email and/or EDI. Additional responsibilities include processing credits, resolution of all after-sales issues, and providing parts and services in response to warranty concerns. The ability to thrive in a high volume, fast paced culture while building and maintaining relationships is essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Process direct import container orders received via EDI or email from the customer and work with overseas factory to plan productions accordingly. Update customer care, sales team and management on issues hindering order production and/or shipping. Communicate timelines with customers while maintaining accurate ship dates and arrival dates in the system according to weekly reports. Maintain business partner records with accurate pricing and SKU information. Review and process credit memos. Coordinate and maintain correct logistics contacts and requirements for each customer. Other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
Contagious "customer first" philosophy. Experience using MS EXCEL, WORD and OUTLOOK and order entry/inventory software. The ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing and have a calming demeanor in dealing with customer issues. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally. Ability to take responsibility and use good judgment within scope of authority. Ability to work independently (self-starter) and as part of a team. Ability to multi-task with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to solve problems and to be proactive. Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of professional customer-facing service/support. Experience effectively resolving customer issues. Knowledge of SAP software a BIG plus! Experience in the furniture industry a BIG plus!
