This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively balance people management, operational oversight, customer relations, and business performance. You will work closely with dispatch, field technicians, customers, vendors, and company leadership to ensure the department consistently meets service, revenue, and customer satisfaction goals. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, mentor, and develop plumbing technicians and apprentices Drive departmental sales, revenue, and profitability goals Conduct technician performance reviews, ride-alongs, and coaching sessions Ensure work quality, safety standards, and customer satisfaction expectations are consistently met Partner with dispatch to maximize scheduling efficiency and technician productivity Support ongoing technical training and professional development Monitor key performance indicators, budgets, and departmental objectives Manage fleet vehicles, tools, inventory, and equipment Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers regarding warranties, product concerns, and purchasing needs Analyze operational and financial data to support forecasting and strategic planning Assist with estimates, proposals, customer solutions, and business development opportunities Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and effectively Collaborate with company leadership on growth initiatives and departmental planning Qualifications Five or more years of plumbing industry experience Previous experience supervising, leading, or managing plumbing technicians Strong understanding of residential and service plumbing operations Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to coach technicians on customer solutions Knowledge of plumbing systems, troubleshooting, repairs, and local plumbing codes Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience managing budgets, performance metrics, and profitability preferred Comfortable using tablets, software systems, reporting tools, and technology Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record What Makes You Successful You are a strong leader who enjoys helping others succeed.
