We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will interact directly with the public to provide information, resolve inquiries, and support a variety of services such as licensing, registrations, permits, and program eligibility. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex customer issues with professionalism and discretion. Key Responsibilities Communicate with customers via phone and in person to provide information about products, services, and programs Process requests including licenses, registrations, titles, permits, and eligibility information Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues, ensuring timely and accurate resolution Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, transactions, and actions taken Verify that appropriate changes or corrections have been made to resolve customer concerns Determine service charges, collect payments or deposits, and arrange billing as needed Prepare and process forms such as contracts, change of address records, and service updates Refer complex or unresolved issues to appropriate departments for further investigation Conduct follow-ups with customers regarding inquiries, claim results, or service adjustments Additional Responsibilities Exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information Research policies and procedures to resolve complex customer service issues Reconcile daily cash receipts, verify totals, and prepare deposits for bank or state treasury processing Ensure accuracy and compliance with financial and operational procedures Required Qualifications Previous experience in customer service or a related field Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to handle difficult customer situations with professionalism and problem-solving skills Basic computer proficiency and experience with data entry Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a government or public service environment Familiarity with billing, cash handling, or financial reconciliation processes
Pay:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
