About us Victory Village is innovative, challenging and supportive and our goal is to Assist veterans, their families, and the community to overcome loss of income, underemployment, poverty and homelessness while providing a professional, supportive, and goal-oriented work-place for our staff. .
Our work environment includes:
Regular social events Growth opportunities Victory Village is a service center for veterans and family members. The Housing & Benefits Coordinator is responsible for assisting clients with a housing search and landlord liaison, providing customer service and managing client files, coordinating paperwork and assisting the case manager and staff in service-delivery and program needs. Responsibilities include data entry, answering phones, taking detailed messages, veteran file creation, tracking due dates, chart audits, reviewing forms for accuracy and completeness, coordinating information with the Victory Village management team and other support staff; supporting the Case Manager with other data and file projects as well as intake and scheduling as needed and under the direction of the Case Manager and other management, searching and compiling available rentals as well as meeting with clients to provide housing leads, assist with housing applications, and landlord liaison efforts.
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Case Manager; coordinate intake, housing, and benefits appointments with veterans; ensuring they bring the proper documentation for the appointment Assist veterans in completing all relevant paperwork Maintain Veteran Master Files including protection of participant privacy, review of forms/ documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance Knowledgeable in agency and program-specific documentation policies and procedures Coordinate secure transfer of paperwork to the Case Manager and other appropriate staff. Compile and track basic demographic, enrollment, and income data on program participants for internal reporting and program evaluation as well as updates as necessary Perform periodic chart audits of Program Files Support program staff in preparation for periodic monitoring visits and financial audits Track deadlines for periodic reassessments Provide administrative support for the Case Manager, Program Manager, Outreach Specialist, and other staff as needed Maintain Client lists according to services needed; update list monthly Compiling housing leads Landlord liaison Assist with housing & benefits applications Other duties as assigned Qualifications Experience working in an administrative capacity Experience reviewing documentation for compliance Experience with management of participant files and HIPAA Experience entering data and compiling basic reports Experience with housing applications & landlord liaison Experience with customer service Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite (especially MS Excel) High school diploma or equivalent required AA preferred.
