Job Description

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support daily order processing and customer communication for a busy operation in Montville, NJ. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing customer support, order accuracy, and coordination with internal teams in a fast-moving environment. The person in this role will help ensure orders, shipping details, and account documentation are handled efficiently while providing timely updates to customers.
Responsibilities:
  • Review incoming customer and purchase orders, confirm product availability, and enter complete and accurate order details into the system.
  • Communicate with customers regarding order progress, shipment timing, freight costs, and other service-related questions in a prompt and attentive manner.
  • Coordinate closely with warehouse and operations staff to support accurate fulfillment, inventory alignment, and shipment readiness.
  • Prepare shipping-related paperwork, including bills of lading, and provide freight rate information for outbound orders.
  • Create sales orders, invoices, credit memos, and related account documentation while maintaining precise records.
  • Investigate and process freight claims involving damaged merchandise and follow through on required documentation.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical files for customer accounts, inventory information, and transactional records.
  • Respond to inbound calls and messages courteously, and provide current inventory information when requested.
