Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our fast-paced dealership team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your enthusiasm and automotive knowledge will ensure a seamless experience for clients, guiding them through service options, scheduling appointments, and explaining repair procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for automobiles with exceptional customer service skills, helping drivers get back on the road safely and confidently. Duties Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs. Clearly communicate repair recommendations, estimates, and service procedures using automotive diagnostics and technical knowledge. Manage the entire service process from vehicle intake to delivery, ensuring timely completion of repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, suspension, tire services, and diesel engine repairs. Upsell additional services and maintenance packages by highlighting benefits aligned with customer needs, increasing dealership revenue. Prepare accurate auto estimates and service writing documentation while maintaining detailed records of work performed. Coordinate with technicians and mechanics to prioritize repairs like alignments, shocks & struts, air brake systems, auto body repairs, and other automotive diagnostics. Handle cash transactions professionally while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the service experience. Skills Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive service management and sales processes. Extensive mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, suspensions, shocks & struts, tire services, diesel engines, and auto body repairs. Skilled in automotive diagnostics to accurately identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively. Experience in auto estimating software and service writing to produce detailed invoices and repair orders. Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Familiarity with auto repair procedures such as alignment adjustments, air brake systems, suspension work, tire rotations, and diesel engine repairs is highly desirable.
