Job Description

Dispatcher Position About Us Mattucci Plumbing, Inc. is a growing utility and plumbing contractor serving Southern California. We specialize in sewer and storm drain inspection, cleaning, hydro excavation, traffic control, utility support services, and plumbing operations. We manage a large field workforce and pride ourselves on providing responsive, professional service to our customers. Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. This is a fast-paced position that requires excellent communication skills, strong decision-making abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling approximately 100 field employees across multiple job sites, ensuring the right personnel and equipment are assigned to the right jobs while maintaining exceptional customer service. This role requires someone who can remain calm under pressure, think critically, and maintain a positive attitude even during stressful situations. Some evening and weekend on-call responsibilities are required as part of this position. Responsibilities Receive and process service requests, work orders, and emergency calls via phone and email Schedule and dispatch field personnel to jobs based on skill set, certifications, location, availability, and job priority Coordinate daily operations for approximately 100 field employees Monitor job progress and adjust schedules throughout the day as priorities change Communicate with customers regarding scheduling, arrival times, and job status updates Track active jobs and maintain accurate records in company software systems Coordinate equipment, vehicles, and resources needed for field operations Work closely with field supervisors, project managers, and management to ensure efficient operations Respond to after-hours calls and dispatch field personnel as part of an on-call rotation Document customer concerns, service issues, and job updates Maintain professionalism and composure during high-pressure situations Assist with reporting, administrative tasks, and operational support as needed Qualifications Previous dispatching, scheduling, logistics, transportation, construction, utility, or service industry experience preferred Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail Ability to prioritize and make quick decisions in a constantly changing environment Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Proficiency with computers, email, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused during stressful situations Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Thrives in a fast-paced environment Enjoys solving problems and coordinating moving pieces Can manage multiple priorities without losing attention to detail Is highly organized and dependable Maintains a professional attitude regardless of stress levels Communicates effectively with both customers and field personnel Takes ownership of their work and follows tasks through to completion Understands the importance of urgency, accountability, and customer service Schedule Full-time position Some evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts required Overtime opportunities may be available

$20.00 - $45.00 per hour
