IGeneX specializes in tick-borne infectious disease testing, specifically Lyme disease and its co-infections. We have been experiencing greater demand for our services, especially with the increase in the diseases we test for, and the types of tests and panels offered. We are looking for talented, driven individuals to support our growth, as well as become an integrated member of the IGeneX family. Opportunity The Customer Service Representative position is the opportunity to develop a world class customer service team, and add value to your career. The goal is to support the customer service functions of IGeneX, Inc, and provide our valued customers with the best service. Responsibilities
- Assist customers (patients and doctors) by telephone, email or face to face with any queries they may have
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
- Process requests for additional testing
- Reply to customer service emails
- Distribution of incoming faxes
- Process customer complaints
- assessing validity
- Understand the policies that the company must adhere to, and any changes in these policies
- Coordinate with the customer service team to find solutions and resolve matters
- Ensure integrity and confidentially of all patients
- send and receive confidential patient information via fax, secure email, mail, and over the phone Qualifications
- Proven customer support experience
- Proficiency in administrative and documentation procedures
- 1-3 years of experience in healthcare setting in a admin/billing position Skills
- Excellent communication skills: verbal and written communication
- Skilled listener, and patience when communicating with customers
- Adaptability when engaging with different types of personalities
- Ability to genuinely empathize with patients, and be helpful, while still adhering to company policies and restrictions set by the laws governing us
- Ability to maintain composure even when the customer is challenging
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Attentive to details and note taking
- Problem solving
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs and high level of PC literacy
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Must be a team player
