Hourly $25 /hour
- possibility of a bonus and hire on at completion of contract Position Overview This position is a hands-on internship within a hospital environment, where interns will support the installation and deployment of real-time location systems (RTLS), including tagging medical equipment for tracking purposes.
Interns will install RTLS tags on hospital assets in predetermined locations, following industry best practices to ensure efficient system deployment and high-quality results. This role emphasizes professionalism and customer service while providing valuable real-world experience in hospital operations, biomedical equipment workflows, and healthcare technology systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Occasionally interface with clients and customers in a professional manner adhering to AIS RealTime Hospital Etiquette. o Working directly with the team to ensure that systems are being deployed on time and per customer specifications.
- Organize and prioritize work and solve problems as they arise.
o Able to take initiative and work with minimal supervision. o Respond with maturity to interpersonal team challenges, sensitivity to needs of team members. o Review and follow tagging guidance and identified tagging locations, as per client direction. o Accurately record tasks, hours by day including KPI and metrics. o Identify implementation issues at the customer site and communicate with Customer Service Managers (CSM).
- Implementation activities. o Averaging 100 successful tags adhered per day throughout hospital with minimal re-work required. o Follow project plan and direction from CSM or Team Lead. o Document and organize customer job files. o Performance adheres to installation manuals processes.
- Accurately record tasks, hours by day including KPI and metrics. o Support in complete Nightly Progress Reports or support completion. o Perform post implementation activities clean-up etc. o Follow project plan and direction from TL
- CSM. o Document and organize customer job files if needed. o Use software and/or hand tools as required by the job.

Other Information:
Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Must be able to pass drug screen and background check. Ability to work in a healthcare setting and obtain the necessary vaccinations required by the hospital. (i.e. have had one (1) COVID vaccination, Hepatitis B, etc…). Typical requirements to enter college. Ability to lift, move, and transport up to 50 lbs. of equipment. Ability to walk up to 4 miles daily, throughout customer site, basements, & storage areas. The ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, and reach is essential for physically affixing RFID tags on various customer assets in various locations on the asset, (may also be required to use tools while on a 3-step ladder). Ability to verbally communicate with team members and the customer in a timely fashion for reacting quickly to hospital or health emergencies, as well as explaining to patients and hospital staff what you are doing or what you need to work on. Ability to individually navigate a customer site / hospital.
