Customer Care Representative ProSUM Health About Us ProSUM Health is a clinician-led respiratory care and durable medical equipment provider dedicated to improving the quality of life for the patients and families we serve. Our team works closely with physicians, hospitals, and care teams to deliver respiratory equipment, mobility solutions, and home medical services that support patients in their homes. Every member of our team plays an important role in ensuring patients receive the equipment and support they need quickly and reliably. Position Summary ProSUM Health is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Care Representative to join our growing team. This role serves as a primary point of contact for patients, caregivers, and referral sources. The Customer Care Representative helps coordinate patient orders, assists with intake and scheduling, answers patient questions, and ensures a smooth experience from the moment a patient contacts our office through equipment delivery and follow-up. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and patient service. Responsibilities The Customer Care Representative supports both patient care coordination and daily office operations.
Responsibilities include:
Answering incoming phone calls and email inquiries from patients, caregivers, and referral sources in a professional and friendly manner Serving as the first point of contact for patients visiting the office and ensuring a welcoming environment Assisting with patient intake and order processing for durable medical equipment and respiratory services Confirming patient information, insurance details, and documentation for order submission Coordinating scheduling for patient equipment setups, follow-ups, and service visits Communicating with clinical staff, delivery technicians, and referral partners to ensure timely service Assisting with documentation, billing support, and insurance verification when needed Supporting inventory intake and office equipment tracking Maintaining accurate records in the company EMR system Providing clear instructions and support to patients regarding their equipment and services Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Strong computer skills and ability to learn EMR, intake, and billing software Excellent communication skills with a patient-focused mindset Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred Preferred Experience in a medical office, healthcare administration, or patient services role Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare documentation Experience working with insurance verification or medical billing Background in durable medical equipment, respiratory care, or home healthcare Skills Exceptional organization and attention to detail Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Professional communication with patients, caregivers, and medical providers Compassion, discretion, and empathy when working with patients Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a clinical team Why Join ProSUM Health At ProSUM Health, our mission is to deliver high-quality respiratory care and home medical support that truly improves patients' lives.
