Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Morning prep time is part of the role. Some flexibility for end-of-day customer pickups. About North Bay Bavarian For 40+ years, North Bay Bavarian (NBB) has been one of the most respected independent German auto specialty shops in the North Bay. We specialize in BMW, Porsche, and Audi/VW. Our customers bring us their cars because they trust our craft, our diagnostics, and the relationships we build with them. This is not a chain shop. This is not a dealership. It's an independent, family-owned business with a clear standard and a team that takes pride in the work. The Role We're hiring a Service Manager / Service Advisor to own the customer experience and the daily flow of our service department. You will be the bridge between our customers and our technicians from morning prep through end-of-day pickups: greeting customers, listening carefully to their concerns, writing accurate repair orders, communicating proactively about diagnostics and recommendations, and closing each visit with clarity and trust intact. Your focus is the front counter and the customer experience. Like any small shop, there will be times the team needs to pull together. Flexibility and a team-first mindset matter. What You'll Do Day to Day Open the front counter in the morning, prep for the day's appointments, and review the schedule with the team Greet customers in person and by phone with warmth, professionalism, and confidence Write thorough, accurate repair orders in Mitchell1 Coordinate workflow with the Shop Foreman and technicians to keep jobs moving cleanly through the shop Communicate with customers throughout the day about diagnostics, additional findings, timing, and authorizations Manage the appointment schedule and coordinate with our online scheduling tools (Steer, AutoOps) Partner with our General Manager and Parts Manager on parts timing and customer-facing parts conversations Close out repair orders accurately, handle end-of-day customer pickups, and follow up on quality and customer satisfaction What You Need Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Service Writer, Service Advisor, or Service Manager, with either BMW, Audi/VW, or Porsche required Working knowledge of Mitchell1 or similar shop management software (we'll train on the specifics) Strong written and verbal communication, especially explaining technical work to customers in plain language Comfortable with the pace of an independent shop: quick decisions, real conversations, real ownership Professional demeanor and presentation. Punctual. Reliable. Must have a valid, clean driver's license Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional end-of-day customer pickups Genuine interest in the work and respect for the craft What We Offer Compensation Highly competitive long-term compensation package Strong base salary plus performance-based commission Participation in the
